At the same time Alexandre is the owner and Managing Director of his steel trading company
Prometheus Metals (U.K.) LTD.
2014 – 2017 Alexandre worked for London based private company Veradamas PLC,
directing and managing company’s mining projects in various geographical locations.
2004 – 2013 Alexandre held position of a Director of Regional Development at Stemcor UK
Limited with focus on the former Soviet Union countries. He oversaw the imports, marketing
and distribution of wide range of steel products into the region, sourcing for international
exports from the regional manufacturers of steel products and raw materials, identifying and
developing investment projects in the metallurgical industry of the region, structuring and
coordination of multi-million-dollar financing and off–taking agreements between Stemcor,
its suppliers and European financial institutions.
2004-2006 Initiated and oversaw the successful implementation of Stemcor’s investment
project in Georgia which involved acquisition, privatization and consolidation into one
holding company three major industrial assets: Zestafoni Ferro-Alloy Plant, Chiatura
Manganese Ore Mine and Vartsikhe Hydro- Power Station. This USD 112m investment
project resulted in the establishment of Georgian Manganese, the only integrated Ferro-Alloy
producer in the Caucasus region, with planned production capacity of over 250,000mt of high
quality silico-manganese.
1998 – 2004 Joined Stemcor UK Limited as a graduate trainee and was swiftly promoted
into position of senior trader.
